This download contains a disk image of a Hackintosh installation (Mac OSX modified to run on non-Macs). This is capable of a dual-boot setup with Windows also. Full instructions are included for each situation: dual boot and non-dual boot. You don't already need a real mac to install this. If you did have a real mac, then follow the instructions normally, but exclude the parts about VMWare Workstation
To install this, one must have these:
-An existing MacOSX installation to format the HDD or partition. (Luckily for you, I have a VMWare (virtualized) installation contained in this pack for you to use temporarily.)
-VMWare Workstation 7.0 - It is included in this download, although if you have a Mac computer already, you will not need this software, or the VMWare Installation.
-An HDD/USB drive (external, with a FAT32 partition of at least 20GB)
-A computer with either an Intel or AMD processor. (Intel preferred for better compatibility)
-A flash drive with minimum capacity of 256MB formatted to FAT32 (This is for the bootloader to load the operating system after you install it on a hard drive)
-Some free time (a couple hours or more).
Note1: MacOSX is not made to run on PCs, and there may be some hardware incompatibility. I cannot change that, so you may use Google to find solutions and download hardware drivers. Just make sure when googling to add: "hackintosh" or "0Sx86" to your search terms to get answers for hackintosh users instead of real Mac users.
Note2: I have two versions of MacOSX. Mac OSX Leopard (10.5.6), and Mac OSX Snow Leopard (10.6.3). If you have an AMD-based computer, then I suggest you start with Mac OSX Leopard (10.5.6) first to save you time, because newer versions of OSX do not work well with AMD processors (Steve Jobs wanted it that way).
Note3: I am not responsible for what happens to your computer. I trust that you keep backups of your data. The install will go smoothly if you do everything the right way. The worst that can happen to you if you follow the instructions is that Mac OSX will fail to boot because of hardware incompatibility. If it fails to boot, then either delete the partition and go back to normal, or keep trying.
Note4: If you only used the virtual mac osx and not the one you install on a physical machine for daily use, the speed of the OS would decrease drastically unless you have a pretty fast computer.
